Facilities and Technologies

ACIES BIO is located at the Technology park Ljubljana in Slovenia, where the company’s biotechnology R&D laboratories span over 700 m2 of state-of-the-art laboratories.
ACIES BIO currently has 45 researchers including 18 senior scientists with Ph.D.
Our high-throughput facility with 14 Infors Multitron II shakers enables parallel cultivation of a large number of strains from 96-well microtiter plates to 5mL and higher volumes. Our bioreactor pilot-scale facility includes fermenters of 14x5L, 3x30L and 2x150L volume. Our synthetic chemistry is equipped with a number of chemical reactor vessels with volumes up to 20L, rotary evaporators up to 20L and all essential equipment for complex organic synthetic chemistry. In our DSP / isolation facility the work is supported by preparative HPLC, flash and column chromatography, biomass separator, centrifuges etc. Our analytics facility includes a number of spectrophotometers, HPLCs and an UPLC/MS for routine analysis, GC and IR analysis and a full-time access to National NMR center with a number of NMR spectrometers ranging from 300 MHz to 800 MHz.
