Acies Bio has started with
the project “High Throughput Microfluidic Platform for the Selection of
Microorganisms for Bio-refinery Application” within the scope of public call
“Incentives for Research and Development projects 2”. The goal of this project
is to develop a new service - a technological platform for rapid development of
highly efficient industrial microorganisms that will allow very quick screening
of large numbers of strains. Such cutting-edge service shall significantly
shorten the development time of biotechnological processes. It will also enable
sustainable use of organic waste materials and establishment of new
bio-refineries capable of producing high-margin biomolecules.
The investment is co-funded by the Republic of
Slovenia and the European Union from the European fund for regional
development.
